As threatened, our criminal-in-chief was acquitted by our sellout repug senate.  Their vile “values” are exposed for all reasonable people to see.  Our country and planet are screwed.  I hope republican corruption and cowardice come back to haunt and shame them.  There has to be some justice and sanity left in the world.  Hopefully history will reflect the actual crimes and damage done, not just trump propaganda.  What a despicable excuse for a human, with his mindless minions.  OK, enough said.

Meanwhile, we’re approaching the 5 inch mark of nonstop deluge in just a few days.  As mentioned, they haven’t invented drainage here yet, so by today many roads and yards are covered by lakes of water, with overflow rushing in waterfalls into ditches and probably basements.  Some low bridges look to be in danger of submerging.  It makes it tricky to drive.

On a less sodden note, here’s a new pot of tulips, and a massive but excellent homemade lasagna by E.  It’s enough to feed an army of us for days.  And here are more soggy scenes.  Fortunately we’re situated on higher ground.
