Walking the Narrows today, we came upon spectacular fungi that looked like exotic flowers, shells, and aliens! There was some natural etching in wood that looked like a circuit board or hieroglyphics. The water was deep with lots of frogs. Sparkly pastel asters and other fall flowers were blooming en masse everywhere. The woods had that deep, quiet anticipation of early fall, punctuated by loud woodpecking and critters just out of sight.
I’m posting in two parts. Please check out all the strange, crazy-looking fungi!
