Late Summer at Indian Mound

Today it was a perfect day for hiking along the river at Indian Mound, under the rock cliffs, up to the thundering falls, and through the forest full of flowers, fungi, and butterflies.  The cabin restoration is just about done.  We wish we could just transplant it to our future home in TN.

Late Summer’s Color and Light Show

Today the warm clear air has just that faint feel of autumn breezes coming on, while flowers are putting out late summer bursts of crazy color, and bees are madly stocking up for the months ahead.   The big midwest sky is a light show of dramatic clouds over the miles of corn and soy.
